So I'm doing my Ethics & Code of Business training today. So far I've learned :
1) Looking at the confidential information from a competitor could be a legal risk.
2) Falsely reporting orders to help a client is a breach of contract.
3) Watching videos of naked Russian mail order brides at work is a no-no.
...Who the hell comes up with these scenarios?

They are obviously prior issues that have come up in the workplace. lol

If a fire occurs, you are not required to fight it yourself.

I heard a story today that Syrian intel has been installing viruses on ISIS mobile phones by hiding the virus inside of porn messages. They have something close to a 100% open and forward rate among the ISIS fighters.

This is all stuff the instructor has done at work. It's why he's the instructor.

Videos of naked Ukrainian brides are totally cool, though.

Are you kidding me? We've got CO2 extinguishers! It'd be a mad dash to see who gets it first, they're awesome.

I don't blame you, those things are the business.

I imagine that in case of fire you're supposed to take an intern and roll them on whatever is burning until you've put it out.
Interns are cheaper and more expendable than fire extinguishers.

We've got 'graduates', ie, people who have just graduated university and started fresh with the company. I had the pleasure of starting like that.
Day 1: 'Welcome to the company! You know that expensive piece of paper you have? It means shit all here! Now the real learning starts!'

in ethics at college, I learned
1. Lamborghinis are fast
2. Dead people are dead
3. Animals are like us, and we are like animals.
4. The workbook for this course costs $50.

Those aren't scenarios; those are real life...
We had a guy that got fired after getting caught watching porn at work... for the third time !

Seriously. People go "Oh you have a Master's degree" and I'm all like it doesn't mean shit.

Yeah. At my last job one of the managers got let go for the same reason. He'd been downloading it to his work PC, and I'm not talking a few movies/pics, we're talking like 60+ gig of porn.

Pretty much. The amount of stuff that I learned at university that has stuck with me in the real world...could probably fill an A4 page.
Most of it would be around drinking.

All my masters allowed me to do was have enough credits to sit for the CPA exam. Thats it. It literally does nothing for me in the working world

...and probably not the regular stuff either...it was probably pure Australian Moose Porn, to boot...

We have moose? Mooses? Moosii?
![]() 02/02/2015 at 22:38 |

Moosearoo's.
Sure! Doesn't every continent have Moosaritos? Why should Canadia have all the fun (and porn)?

Oh, you'd be amazed of the crazy crap people do at work. Stealing, screwing, fights ... and with the ambulance chasers looking for a payday managers live on their tip-toes.

Oh boy. Fired an engineer (and damn good one) for 80G of Filipino (probably under age) porn on a company hard drive.
Was a good friend, too. Management sucks sometimes (read: most times.)

What if its not a video of mail order russian brides, but just a picture and a nice description of their, oh I don't know, features ?
